Dr. Britt A. Buckley graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1979. Following his Flexible Medicine Internship at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, Dr. Buckley completed a three-year ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, Virginia in 1983. Dr. Buckley moved to southern Colorado that same year and was associated with the Colorado Springs Eye Clinic until 1985. At that time, Dr. Buckley established his solo ophthalmology practice and three years later he became CEO, President and Surgical Director of Peak Vision Center, which is now Buckley Vision Institute.

Dr. Buckley has received extensive training in refractive eye surgery. He studied RK with the famed Dr. Leo Bores. He took part in the Summit Technology Excimer Laser Visionary Program in London and Berlin from 1992 through 1993, studying both the LASIK and PRK refractive surgical procedures.

As a teaching physician, Dr. Buckley has trained approximately 100 ophthalmologists in the latest refractive surgical techniques using the most modern state-of-the-art technology. Dr. Buckley ranks among the top five percent of all VISX surgeons nationwide. He has performed tens of thousands of laser vision correction procedures. He has authored numerous articles and presented several professional papers at doctors meetings and medical gatherings throughout the nation. As Surgical Director and President of Buckley Vision Institute, Dr. Buckley continues to oversee all elective and non-elective surgeries. As the founder of Buckley Vision Institute, he performs thousands of refractive surgical procedures each year.

Joe Miles, O.D.

Dr. Joe Miles was born and raised in Southeastern Idaho. After completing his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University and attending the Physical Therapy School at the University of Utah, he enrolled in the Southern California College of Optometry. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1977. While at SCCO, he was voted Clinician of the Year by his instructors in recognition of his clinical expertise.

Dr. Miles is our senior Optometrist. He provides much of the pre-and post-operative care for our refractive surgery patients. Additionally, Dr. Miles supervises and provides clinical support to the contact lens department.

Dr. Miles and his wife Claudia have been married since 1967. They are the parents of four sons and have nine grandchildren. They enjoy gardening, hiking, camping, reading, and golf.

Dr. Jack A. Zamora

Dr. Jack Zamora is an Oculo-facial plastic surgeon specializing in the cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of eyelid and facial features. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of many national medical societies.

Dr. Zamora graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at Boston University. He continues to teach in Boston as an Assistant Professor and has been recognized by Boston University as one of the premier surgical instructors.

Dr. Zamora specializes in microsurgical technologies and techniques to create natural and youthful eyes, eyelids, and eyebrows. He is extremely skilled at performing blepharoplasty and levator resection for excessive skin around the eyelids and ptosis repair for droopy lids.

Dr Zamora is also highly recognized for his skill utilizing the new Contour Threadlift sutures, which are used for forehead and brow lifts, midface lifts to minimize deep nasolabial folds, and to reduce excessive skin around the jowls and neck. He combines the use of Botox, fillers, laser, ultrasound, minimally invasive surgery, and full reconstruction.

Dr. Zamora implants the ReSTOR® intraocular lens for cataract and presbyopic patients as well as the VerisyseT phakic intraocular lens for high myopia.

Dr. Zamora was married to Dr. Peterson in October of 2004. He joined Buckley Vision Institute in April of 2005 and has enjoyed practicing and living in Colorado.
