Our personal approach to your Lasik experience starts with your very first visit where you find out everything about vision correction and it continues through the exam, surgery and each post-operative appointment.

1. Information. This individualized treatment starts with providing you with all the answers to your specific questions about laser vision correction. We take the time to personally address your unique concerns and expectations. The information provided during our complimentary consultations gives you the ability to make an informed decision about your vision correction experience.


2. Examination. Personalized Lasik^SM continues with Dr. Buckley and his expert, caring staff of technicians, being personally involved in your pre-operative examination. Dr. Buckley personally reviews each diagnostic report including your WavePrint Map, your ORBSCAN, and your Tear Analysis, and he discusses these with you before surgery. He never trusts another doctor to do this for him, and you have an opportunity to discuss your procedure with Dr. Buckley before your surgery begins.


3. Technology. Personalized LASIK means we offer programmable Blade-Free IntraLase technology, which means your surgeon can tailor the dimensions of your corneal flap based on what's best for your eye. Everything from the diameter of your flap to the angle of its edges can be precisely determined. This is important because everyone's eyes are shaped a little differently. Having a corneal flap that's individualized to the patient contributes to excellent postoperative outcomes.
   
   Personalized LASIK also means we use state-of-the-art equipment that considers your total vision system, not just your cornea. This produces a 'fingerprint of your vision' that gives the surgeon information that is unique to you. Many patients have unique irregularities in their vision, which the VISX WavePrint™ technology is capable of diagnosing, and the VISX ActiveTrak™ laser is capable of correcting. With the VISX ActiveTrak™ laser your treatment area is customized depending on your pupil size, and the VISX laser tracks your eye movements in all three dimensions so you don't have to worry about moving your eyes during the procedure. You also don't have to endure uncomfortable pupil dilation as with other lasers.
