ReZoom IOL
ReZoom™ IOLs are unlike any other multifocal IOL available today. With ReZoom™ IOLs, vision problems like cataracts and presbyopia can be corrected with Intra Ocular Lenses (IOLs) that allow you to see a variety of different distances in different lighting conditions.
In the past, to treat presbyopia or cataracts, the eye's natural lens was removed and replaced with a monofocal IOL. Monofocal IOLs forced patients to choose one distance that they wanted to see clearly, requiring glasses or contacts for seeing objects at other distances.
With the ReZoom™ IOL, presbyopia and cataract patients can enjoy seeing near, intermediate, and far distances in a variety of lighting conditions. Once implanted, 92% of ReZoom™ patients report that they either never have to, or only occasionally wear, glasses or contacts.
The way ReZoom™ IOLs produce such great vision results is through the use of Balanced View Optics Technology. Unlike other multifocal IOLs, ReZoom™ IOLs have five different, specially proportioned zones that focus different amounts of light to allow you to see object at almost any distance clearly.
During the ReZoom™ IOL procedure, the eye's natural lens is gently removed through a tiny incision made in the side of the cornea. Then, the ReZoom™ IOL is placed behind the eye's iris wear the natural lens used to be.
After the lens has been implanted, patients usually report that their vision is better just hours after the procedure. There is usually an adjustment period while your brain learns to focus on different objects with the ReZoom™ IOL.
If you live in the Colorado Springs or Pueblo, Colorado area and would like to see how ReZoom™ IOLs can improve your vision, please contact the Buckley Chang Eye Institute to schedule your complimentary consultation.
